StatsBar: System Monitoring App Reviews

The main reason I bought it was the automatic memory cleaning. It is not automatic unless you open the program. Also, once you hide the CPU and Memory Usage, they do not come back.

Helps me keep up with my data flow on my network, also love the fact i can clean up my memory for more ram great tool..

I loved this app, right up until they released an update a few weeks ago or something and the app now goes memory hungry and eats up all my memory and slows my system down. I have a late 2012 iMac with 24GB RAM and it bogs my system down. When I check my processes I can see the app using 16GB+ of RAM. Unacceptable! PLEASE FIX THIS BUG!

Still seem to have intermittent issues with hanging the system up….pinwheels when I try to access it after it has been running a couple days

I love this app, besides the fact that it slows my computer down substaintially after having it open for a long time, which I need to have.

It’s a very usefull app that showes you how your memory is being used. if you care about your memory, this is a good app for you.

Does all it says it does and a little more. you can view all system stats on the desktop The only thin i don’t like is when you click on anything the bar disappears but the icon is on top and all you have to do is click it. There is asetting to keep on top of pages but you have to lower the transparency of the bar. Great info in the bar plus a memory freer

It works very well as a memory cleaner and also some very good Information on Battery life an all sorts of useful information!

Now it slows my computer down, I cant use it to clean memory and I cant seem to turn it off…

The Stats Bar app is great! It performs as advertised and is very helpful in the information it provides. It’s a clean, non intrusive view of the health of your Mac. At a glance you can see your CPU performance, Memory, Disk Usage, Network (both WAN and LAN IPs), but most importantly it allows you to view the health of your battery life for your MacBook. Honestly, this app should come standard with OSX, Apple could learn a thing or two from this app.

Developed said they fixed the hanging bug, but I had to uninstall this app because it continues to slow down my late 2012 iMac, and it can only be quit forcing the process to quit. Will reinstall if and when it is ever truly fixed.

If I leave text disabled, whenever I first run the app, the Menu Bar icon is cropped by about 1/3… If I go into preferences, enable & then disable text, the full icon is properly displayed… Without going in to do this manually every time I reboot, however, the icon remains visually cut off...

Everything is great with this app, but it can’t show the temperature in Celsius. If it could, this would be the best monitoring app I’ve got. Please fix the issue with the battery temperature display!

Works well and give you plenty of information about your machine. I find this app very helpful! Two thumbs up!

I really like the simplicity yet with enough info to check the status of your machine.

This app does work well on mavericks but would be a lot better if it were optimized for mavericks and i hope to see that happen in the near further but overall it works great and as expected.

i cant clean the memory, it takes minutes to change between disk usage just to see my other partition space. the battery indicator is about 15 percent off from what my computer says it is. and when i try and close out the app i just get the rainbow wheel for a long time over the app.

It took me awhile to figure out that this program was hanging my system. I loved it until either their update or apple’s caused the hang, either way do not purchase until they resolve this issue.

I liked it a lot but sometime my mac hang because of this app.
